Spend Limit (per agent)
Each AI agent can have its own monthly spend limit. This cap applies across all hosts and payment requests made by that agent.
How it works
- Limit scope: per agent, aggregated across all hosts and x402 payments.
- Unit: USDC on Base, tracked in 6‑decimal token units under the hood.
- Reset schedule: the counter resets automatically on the first day of each calendar month.
- If the limit is exceeded: the next payment requires explicit approval (one‑time) or you can raise the limit and retry.
- No limit: setting the limit to 0 disables the cap.
Set or update a limit
- Open AI Agents and select an agent.
- In the agent details pane, edit the Monthly limit field and save.
- The current month’s usage and remaining allowance are shown alongside the limit.
Tips
- Set conservative limits for new agents and relax them as trust builds.
- If payments start prompting for approval mid‑month, check whether the monthly cap was reached.
- Raising the limit takes effect immediately; the monthly counter continues from its current value until the next reset.
