Spend Limit (per agent)

Each AI agent can have its own monthly spend limit. This cap applies across all hosts and payment requests made by that agent.

How it works

• Limit scope: per agent, aggregated across all hosts and x402 payments.
• Unit: USDC on Base, tracked in 6‑decimal token units under the hood.
• Reset schedule: the counter resets automatically on the first day of each calendar month.
• If the limit is exceeded: the next payment requires explicit approval (one‑time) or you can raise the limit and retry.
• No limit: setting the limit to 0 disables the cap.

Set or update a limit

1. Open AI Agents and select an agent.
2. In the agent details pane, edit the Monthly limit field and save.
3. The current month’s usage and remaining allowance are shown alongside the limit.

Tips

• Set conservative limits for new agents and relax them as trust builds.
• If payments start prompting for approval mid‑month, check whether the monthly cap was reached.
• Raising the limit takes effect immediately; the monthly counter continues from its current value until the next reset.
